I am
Arturo Sanchez

Passionate Data Analyst and Business Owner

Welcome to my portfolio!

I’m Arturo, a dynamic professional who wears two hats as a seasoned data analyst and the proud owner of a flourishing business in remote CNC programming. In 2020, I ventured into the world of computer numerical control (CNC) programming, leading a team that remotely programs robots. These robots expertly craft stone countertops for kitchens, bathrooms, and more, contributing to the widespread success of my business.

Despite the demands of entrepreneurship, I streamlined my business operations to be self-sufficient, leaving me ample time to pursue my passion for data analytics. Delving into this field, I acquired proficiency in SQL, Python, and visualization tools such as Power BI and Tableau. Furthering my knowledge with a dedicated course in Data Analytics, I successfully transitioned into the role of a Data Analyst after a brief job search, and I have been enamored with the field ever since.

In my capacity as a data analyst, I specialize in constructing and managing data pipelines through the ETL process. These pipelines play a pivotal role in delivering precise information to Google users during their searches. Each day presents fresh learning opportunities, fueling my enthusiasm to continuously explore and expand the horizons of my commitment to data analytics.

After graduating, began working at the family business overseeing CNC machines dedicated to countertop fabrication.

My Latest Projects

This project is based on sample data and questions that a hotel’s stakeholders had on the progress of a hotel chain’s profitability. The questions that the stakeholders had are listed below:

  • Is our hotel revenue growing by year?
  • Should we increase our parking lot size?
  • What trends can we see in the data?

Once the data was filtered and cleaned, the data was used to make data visualizations using PowerBI.

Technologies used: Microsoft SQL Server, PowerBI

In this repository, you will see the queries used to clean and manipulate data to later create visualizations on Tableau to better understand Covid death and infection rates across the world.

Technologies used: Microsoft SQL Server Management, Excel

Cleaned and acquired data on Covid Deaths and rate of infection in certain areas of the world and developed data visualizations in Tableau to better interpret data.

Technologies used: Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio, Excel, Tableau

In this Excel dashboard, coffee orders were recorded and a Pivot table was created to show a more in depth description of the orders that were made. Bar charts and sliders were created based off of the data collected to give users a more interactive experience with the data.

Technologies used: Microsoft Excel

The following Artificial Intelligence presentation was conducted and presented in Aug. 2023 to former colleagues explaining the potential AI has in the workplace. In this presentation you will be able to get a foundational understanding of LLM and ML with an emphasis on AI generated images, voices, and text.

Technologies used: Google Sheets
